Greta Van Susteren is an Appleton native, lawyer and news anchor working as the host of The Record With Greta Van Susteren at Newsmax. Before her journalism career, Greta practiced law for 10 years in both trial courts and appellate courts, including US Courts of Appeal and State Supreme Courts.

Greta, a University of Wisconsin alumna, graduated with honors in economics. She furthered her education by obtaining a Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law in 1979, followed by a Master of Law from the same institution in 1982.
